Why Should I Get Involved?
As Americans living in the land of the free you have the right to do as you wish Right?
You tell me, In West Virginia;
Can you get in your car and run to the store without a seat belt?
No
Can you  head to the local ABATE meeting without a lid on?
No
Will a person that KILLS someone due to failing to yield right of way be punished?
Thanks to Danny's Law YES! IF the charges are applied!
These are just a few examples of ways that our government is trying to take control of your personal freedom to choose and not keeping legislation in place to protect you!

Laws are required to avoid chaos and mayhem but understanding when the government is violating our personal rights is something MANY Americans overlook or complain about without doing something about it!
WE VOTERS put and keep our elected representatives in office, they work FOR US!
If they can't hear you how can they help you?

LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD and GET INVOLVED!
We can't do it alone!
Food for thought Chopper Fans!
It should be noted that the little funds that ABATE had in the early days went to hiring an engineering firm to determine whether a raked front end or an extended front end was safe. This resulted in two lengthy documented reports, complete with engineering drawings that established proof that they were safe. This allowed bikers to fight in court "unsafe vehicle" tickets with scientific facts--not just opinions. EASYRIDERS, on behalf of ABATE, also picked up the tab on a test case concerning an extended front end being unsafe. From 1971-1974 most of ABATE's efforts went into fighting such laws. Had it not been for the efforts of ABATE-EASYRIDERS in the early 1970s, choppers would have been outlawed.
