after being seriously injured or worse in a motorcycle accident.
This fund is for all motorcyclists.
How the fund works:
1. Someone brings a need to the Eastern Panhandle of ABATE od WV, Inc.
Any motorcyclist can receive these funds, they need not be an ABATE member or a member of any organization, MRO, or Club.
2. The chapter will discuss and vote on rider eligibility and how to distribute funds to the rider or his/her family.
3. The chapter will decide how the funds will be distributed. (A check may not always be “how” we distribute these funds, the chapter may decide to pay the recipients electric bill or buy groceries, etc.)
4. The Chapter will also decide when to present the funds to the family. (Due to the personal nature of this situation the receiving family or rider will be notified in advance. The recipients may be asked to attend a meeting when they feel ready to do so in order for the chapter to take photos to promote the fund)
